JAMA Conference Testimony #3
Dear God,
Hi! I’m writing a testimony about JAMA. It was really fun! I never realized that JAMA could be really fun but still learn more about Jesus and God. There are a lot of things I learned from JAMA. I learned more about God. That’s for sure.
Before I went to JAMA what I expected JAMA to be was that I thought it would be boring. The sermons would be so boring like the ones at church. I thought the pastors would be boring and not funny. I thought the songs and motions wouldn’t be that fun. Also I never thought the teachers would be so nice.
During JAMA all I thought was wrong. It was so fun I want to come back next year. JAMA was like VBS. The songs and the motions were exciting. The motions were challenging and fun. My favorite songs were Rainbows and Supernatural. The songs were so, so fun. I loved the David Crowder Band. When we went into our groups it was nice because we got to share our experiences and got to meet new people. I made a new friend and her name is Abigail. She’s nice. My teacher in our group was Eunice. She was one of the best teachers I ever met. The volunteers, pastors and the praise team group were really nice too. I liked the pastor’s sermons. It made my heart open to God and I learned more about God.
JAMA taught me that going to church is not boring. It’s very exciting and we get to learn more about God. Also the sermons aren’t boring because we get to learn more about God. The sermon I can remember most and what means most to me was the first sermon I listened to when I went to JAMA. The topic was about how our hearts get crumpled and torn apart. When we sin it tears apart. Examples of sin are lying, stealing, and many more. Our hearts also gets torn apart also when something very sad happens to you. How we can get our hearts a perfect heart we have to accept Jesus in our heart.
My favorite story the pastor told me was when a mom protected her baby from a fire. The girl was a very nice and pretty girl and everybody wanted to go to her house but she always said no because her mom was very ugly. She always made an excuse so nobody cold go to her house. She found a picture one day and there was a pretty lady and the girl asked who she was but the mom didn’t answer her. So the mom finally told her the lady was her. She said there was a fire so she held the baby and curled up herself. The girl wasn’t damaged but she was so that’s why she was ugly. What I learned was that Jesus cares for us like that. Also I never knew a person can love us that much. That’s what I learned and what I liked during JAMA.
After JAMA what I can do is not forget what I learned in JAMA (That’s why I’m writing this.) Also I can tell people about God. Like my friend Serin I can tell her that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and try to make her believe in Jesus Christ. I’ll also not think that church is boring but it’s fun and is important. I won’t to church because my parents go and try to learn more about God. Also I’ll try my best to read the bible more often and try to do SENA everyday.
In conclusion, these are the things I expected before JAMA, during JAMA and after JAMA. I didn’t know that JAMA would be so fun and the teachers would be so much nice. During JAMA what I learned is that church is not a boring place but it’s a fun and an important place to learn about God. After JAMA I will do is tell people and my friends about God.
